LoveFilm: the 11th most visited online retailer in the UK
Hitwise have just published some data that I thought affiliates would like to know about LOVEFiLM. The full report can be found here but these are the highlights:
We are now one the top 100 websites in the UK, and last month the 11th most popular online retailer (putting us ahead of a number of big names including ASOS, Apple and HMV).
We are the second most visited movie website in the UK after IMDB.
LOVEFiLM is particularly popular with young professionals and therefore receives much of its traffic from London and other big cities such as Manchester and Glasgow.
We have less reliance on search than most, key sources of visits are social networks (8th most popular retailer visited after Facebook), email and entertainment websites – with much of the former traffic coming via affiliates

LOVEFiLM are Highly Commended at the A4U Awards
For the 2nd year in a row we were given the high commended award in the category for the best use of affiliate marketing in a wider campaign. Sky managed to beat us to the award this year and some good natured fighting talk had been exchanged before they took the award home.
Still, nice to be highly commended again and I hear our category was very competitive in the eyes of the judges.
Well done to Affiliate Window and Vouchercodes.co.uk who picked up several awards each, while my friends at Experian/Credit Expert once again won in the finance vertical category.

We have just launched our brand new gift product for Father's Day which I hope opens up our product to the massive range of affiliates selling gifts. We have made sure that this will reward everyone involved:
